Are you looking to be involved with something new this year? Have you thought about volunteering or helping out in a local community group?

Volunteering is giving some of your time unpaid to help an individual or group.

Organised volunteering usually takes place through a charity or other not-for-profit or community organisation.

Within West Edinburgh there are many opportunities available for people to offer their time to help their local community.

Volunteering:

  • can be good for your mental health and wellbeing
  • gives you the opportunity to practise and develop skills

Communities helping themselves is an important aspect of any local community and is a priority of the West Edinburgh Neighbourhood Network and the Almond and Western Voluntary Sector Forum.

Volunteer Opportunities

On Thursday 7th March 4pm to 7.00pm in Space to be (Gyle Centre Upper floor) the following organisation’s signed up asking for volunteers
