Leaflet Production for printing and website

There are three versions

  • a high quality print version at 6MB
  • an online PDF version with clickable hyperlinks
  • an online text version searchable for key words, suitable for the visually impaired and which can be translated into 37 languages

Printed PDF Version

The text for the leaflet is produced by the Western Voluntary Sector lead and sent to volunteer 1 who uses Adobe Elements to produce a print quality leaflet of PDF pages side by side. This version goes to the printers.

print quality leaflet – usually 6Mb in size

Online PDF Version with working hyperlinks

A second version is produced for the online PDF copy. The hyperlinks work so people reading it online can click on the links. This version has each page as an individual page and the pages are in sequence one by one unlike the print version with a page side by side. Volunteers 2 takes this high quality printer version and uses Small PDF Compress PDF to shrink it in size from 6MB to 600K, a 10th of the size. This allows people reading online to load the PDF quickly and it loads page by page.

A third version is text based which is text searchable, can be used by the visually impaired and can be translated. https://westedinburghinformation.wordpress.com/2024/02/26/mar-24-activity-programme-voluntary-sector/
