Our meetings are a heartwarming blend of coffee, conversation, enlightening talks, and casual café-style meetups.  Mark your calendars, as our last meeting for this session is on May 24th. But don’t worry, our summer café will continue the tradition, taking place weekly from June 7th.

Corstorphine Connect Sight Loss Group –  Corstorphine Astoria Centre  18 Kirk Loan EH12 7HD

The group meets on the 3rd Saturday of every month at the 2pm-3.30pm, 18 Kirk Loan for “Coffee, Cake and Chat” followed by an interesting Speaker. Everybody is welcome including a family member or friend. At our meeting on May 18th The Archive Team from the Corstorphine Trust share a bit more of Corstorphine’s history with some exhibits from the Museum

Then on June 16th we have our summer outing to the Park Hotel in Peebles for afternoon tea

Introducing the Youth Group A group for young people S1 and above normally takes place on the first Sunday of the month from 6.30pm. Recent activities have included mini golf, rounders, film nights, a Black History walking tour and ten-pin bowling. There’s often pizza!  We’d love more people to join in. The bridge club meets every Thursday afternoon throughout the year between 1.30pm and 4.30pm in one of the Church halls.   It is a friendly and relaxed gathering and each afternoon we run a pairs competition.

We have volunteers who will be happy to assist if you bring your device along to our drop-in sessions every Monday from 2-4 pm. First session is free and thereafter we charge £10 for lifetime membership and £2 per visit. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.

Information is also available on a range other topics such as Community Spaces, Educational and Health Services, Council and Parliamentary Electoral Boundaries, School Catchment Areas etc.

We welcome any feedback from individuals and groups on how this can be improved to meet the requirements of the local community and organisations.
